Wisbech and Long Sutton hockey teams attend Pelicans U12 tournament

Pelicans Hockey Club hosted an U12 tournament at its home base at Alive Lynnsport – and teams from Wisbech and Long Sutton were present.

With 23 teams entered across the boys’ and girls’ sections, the tournament was split between a Golden Cup and Silver Plate.

The skill from all the players was brilliant to watch, with goals being scored, and tackles being made on the start of what could be a lifetime journey in the sport.

The results for the Golden Cup were as follows.

Boys: 1 Magpies, 2 Norwich City, 3 Dereham, 4 Pelicans, 5 Norwich Dragons and 6 Wisbech.

Girls: 1 Dragons Red, 2 Norwich City, 3 Dereham, 4 Magpies, 5 Dragons Green and 6 Pelicans.

For the Silver Plate, North Norfolk, Magpies and Wisbech had one boys’ and one girls’ team, Dere City (Dereham and Norwich City mixed) and East coast a boys’ team and Dereham and Long Sutton a girls’ team.
