Top two from each age group and level will travel to Birmingham on June 7
Twenty Fenland Flyers trampolinists, who had qualified from two previous competitions this season, travelled to Hatfield for the regional qualifier.
From this competition the top two from each age group and level will travel to Birmingham on June 7 and represent the east of England along with 13 other counties.
Double mini trampolining: With an 8.30am start Flyers’ NDP Level 1 11-12-year-old girls made an impression. This is only the second competition the girls have done at DMT so they felt extremely nervous.
But, with the support of each other and their coach Sophie Hennells, the girls were amazing with Millie Rooney securing FF’s first place in Birmingham. Sky Dornan Baker came an impressive third and was offered a reserve place. Completing the team, Gracie-Jane Lloyd placed 6th, giving Fenland Flyers team 1st.
Also competing was Hannah Smith in the 13+ ladies. She did extremely well in a difficult group and finished 3rd, with an offer of a reserve place for Birmingham.
Alana Pritchard and Jasmine Hailes-Pope competed at Level 5 in the 13-14 yrs and 15+ yrs respectively.
Again, this is only their second competition at DMT but, with their competitive experience and support for each other, they competed this discipline with an amazing performance, placing Alana in 1st place and securing her Birmingham place, as did Jasmine after coming runner-up.
DMT results. Level 1, 11-12 Girls: Millie Rooney 1st (selected), Sky Dornan-Baker 3rd (reserve), Gracie-Jane Lloyd 6th Team 1st.
Level 1, 13+ Ladies: Hanna Smith 3rd (reserve).
Level 2, 13+ Ladies: Bella Featherstone-Dance 9th.

Trampolining: Alana Pritchard competed at Birmingham last year and was hoping to do well this year. She competes at Level 5 in the 13-14 girls and completed two solid routines for victory, securing her place to compete in Birmingham again.
Next was youngest NDP performer Bailey Hanrahan, in the 9-10-year girls at Level 1. Like Alana, Bailey competed two solid routines and was second, securing her place in Birmingham. Also competing at this level were the 11-12-year girls, and the trio secured a team 1st, with Millie Rooney getting her second gold of the competition and gaining another place in Birmingham. Kate Pattingale was third and offered a reserve place.
Club level performers also did amazingly, bringing home five individual medals. At club level the gymnast only competes within the region.
