Full write-up (by manager Jonny Pearce) below.
"PDFL Matchday 3.
"We travelled to Peterborough with a more depleted squad than normal and with three back to back games which was going to be tough going.
"Match 1 we played Market Harborough who took the lead in the first minute of the game.
"We did everything in the first half and dominated possession and after missing a hatful of chances we eventually equalised through Steve Wyness but conceded just before half time to go into the break at 2-1 down.
"The second half was pretty much the same: we played some good passing walking football but could not convert our chances and went further behind to two wonder strikes and the game ended with a 4-2 loss.
"For the second game against Moulton I asked the lads to start converting the chances as this cost us in the first game.
"Again we played some good passing walking football and looked in control of the game so was surprised to go 1-0 down.
"Steve Wyness was on target again to level the scores at 1-1. We then found ourselves guilty of diving on attackers which cost us the next two goals and at half time we were 3-1 down.
"At half time I asked the lads to do 3 things: 1- keep possession 2- take your chances 3- stop diving in and just stand the opponents up.
"The lads listened and put in an outstanding 2nd half, Steve Wyness got another goal back when the goalkeeper threw it down the middle straight to Steve.
"Steve then completed his hat trick to level the game at 3-3. Unfortunately we couldn't convert anymore chances and the game ended 3-3.
"Our third game was against Glinton and was our best display of the day, a real exhibition of walking football, and we put in a perfect display to run out 9-0 winner,s with the goal scorers being Steve Wyness x 6, Wayne Beasant x 2 and Ben Baylis.
"A frustrating morning that saw us play the best football we have played for a while but we did not get the results the performances deserved but we will work hard on the training pitch and go again on the next matchday.
"Thanks as always to our supporters - Bernard, Phil, Paul, Gemma and Ellie."
