Manea's Dave Polley to star at BriSCA F2 stock car racing in King's Lynn

Manea’s David Polley starts the defence of his BriSCA F2 Stock Car world crown this week when the 2023 Stock Car Season roars into life.

As is tradition, the national season opener takes place at King’s Lynn and features the F2 Stock Cars in a World Championship qualifying round, 2L Stock Cars in the Charlene Kingston Memorial and the 1300 Stock Cars.

Polley races with the gold roof following his sensational and emotional victory at Lynn last September. He has no thoughts of relinquishing his title when he defends it at Nutts Corner Raceway in Northern Ireland this September, and he will be keen to get a good start in the qualifying process this Saturday.

Other drivers in action in the F2 Stock Cars include Henry King, who is making his return to racing after few year’s absence. He was a star grade driver in the formula and once he gets some seat time will be guaranteed to be on the pace.

Alfie Allard is back in action in the F2 Stock Cars after a handful of appearances last year, and making his debut in the formula is Daniel Horsepool.

1300 Stock Car events will see World of Shale champion Tom Alsop debuting a brand new self-built car which went as well as it looked at practice last Sunday – and he will be looking to make progress from the back of the pack.

Lee Green has not been in action in a stock car for five years and fans will be looking forward to seeing the prolific car builder back behind the wheel of one of his creations.

Other local drivers in action in the 1300 Stock Cars include all members of the Moat racing team with John, Dean and Shane in action together with Sonny Wright and Barty Ketteringham.

Completing the action are the 2L Stock Cars where cousins Tommy and Sam Parrin will be flying the flag.
