Major stock car titles up for grabs in King’s Lynn on Saturday

Championship fever comes to King’s Lynn this Saturday (4pm) where both Saloon Stock Cars formulas will have major titles up for grabs.

They don’t come any bigger for the 1300 Stock Cars where London’s Lee Pearce will be looking to enter the history books by winning the title for the fourth time, while Scottish multi-champion Stuart Shevill Jnr will be looking to enter the history books as he tries to defend the British on his first visit to Lynn for four years.

A number of local drivers will be going all out to bring one of the titles to Wisbech. Father and son duo John and Dean Moat are our two representatives who have already qualified for the World Final. Both know the fast way around Lynn but will be relying on fireworks up front as they will be starting in the second half of the grid.

Drivers who will be looking to join them through the last chance include Tom Alsop, Lee Green, Sonny Wright, Karl Morris and John Klyn.

Local fans were dealt a blow in their hopes for success in the 2L Stock Car British when Tommy Parrin said he would not be contesting the meeting as he has to allow time for a recurring injury to heal which now means all hopes will rest on the shoulders of Sam Parrin.

The F2 Stock Cars are also in action and will see Manea’s Dave Polley make his last local appearance before he defends his World Title in Ireland next month.
