March Town share the spoils with Histon while sorry Wisbech Town are thumped by Skegness Town at home

March Town picked up a battling point in the United Counties League Premier Division South last night while Wisbech Town were on the receiving end of another hammering in the South.

The Hares shared the points at Histon after a goalless draw at the Bridge Road Stadium.

Jack Withers picked up the man-of-the-match accolade for the visitors while goalkeeper Jonah Gill kept his second clean sheet of the campaign between the posts.

March Town manager Ash Taylor saw his side pick up a point in a goalless draw at Histon last night.

Ash Taylor's side sit fifth in the latest league standings heading into Saturday's trip to Leicester Nirvana.

But it was another sorry night for Wisbech Town who are in disarray just four games into the new campaign.

The Fenmen had Dan Roberts and Oli Williams both sent off as Alex Street's side crashed to their fourth successive defeat in the UCL Premier Division North.

Roberts was dismissed seven minutes into the game against Skegness before Williams followed his team-mate for an early bath by picking up a second yellow in injury time.

The Lilywhites took full advantage of the extra numbers as Wisbech suffered their third successive 5-0 defeat in the league.

Billy Bradley, George Hobbins, Rio Molyneaux, Scott Floyd and an own goal were on target for the visitors.

The stats don't make pretty reading for the rock-bottom Fenmen, who have now shipped 16 goals in their opening four outings and have yet to find the back of the net.

Before the game, they announced three new signings with Amir Ward returning to the club along with Joao Aguilar, a forward who has arrived on dual registration from Soham Town and young midfielder Kris Zaluzinskis, on loan from Boston United.

Only Aguilar featured against Skegness.

On Saturday, Wisbech Town will be looking to stop the rot when they host Harrowby United at Fountain Fresh Park.
