March Town include former Stevenage scholar in squad for league draw at Daventry Town

March Town boss Ash Taylor believes new signing Kyle Potts-Lewis will be a useful addition to the Hares' squad.

Youngster Potts-Lewis was an unused substitute during the 1-1 draw at fourth-place Daventry in the United Counties Premier South on Saturday.

Taylor said: "Kyle is a young lad who was a scholar at Stevenage. He will give us something a little bit different at the top end of the pitch and he hasn't been getting the game time.

"He's a composed player, can score goals and he's a great finisher and I look forward to him making an impact with this team.

"I can't wait to see him in a March Town shirt and I'm sure he will be an exciting player for us."

The Hares, who had Florian Guimdo Tsaguim sent off for a controversial second yellow after 55 minutes, led 1-0 at the break after a Dan Cotton goal but conceded in the final minute.

Taylor felt that the big decisions in the game went against his side in Northamptonshire.

"It was a crazy game and emotions were high at the end of it," he said.

"The first half they started the better team and fair play to them as they came at us and we had to deal with a lot of pressure.

"We got through those moments and then had some control of the game. It was a great goal by Dotty (Dan Cotton) and we've had some great chances to increase our lead.

"Flo gets taken out in the penalty area and the referee waves it away. Everyone in the ground knows it was a penalty and even their Gaffer has said it was a penalty all day long.

"I don't want to make excuses for the referee but the decision to send Flo off later on has ruined a good game of football.

"An advantage was played, our player gets fouled then he goes back and books our player for the first action because their players have influenced him by surrounding him.

"Later on there was a clear elbow to the head of Jack Saunders who has split his right eye open and no foul was given.

"I feel for my players as they put everything into that second half."

On Saturday, March Town welcome mid-table Northampton Sileby Rangers to the GER.

March Town: Gill, Green, Brumby, Burrows, Emmington, Foy, Cotton (Withers), Tait, Gillies (Williams), Saunders, Tsaigum. Subs (not used): Biggs, Potts-Lewis, Callaghan.

Attendance: 201.
