In the individual event; gymnasts won 76 medals between them and twelve gymnasts placed in the top three overall in their respective categories to qualify through to the Regional finals.

Four gymnasts – Izabella Goode (Level 7 Age 8), Daisy Pepper (Level 6 Age 9), Ruby Loveridge (Level 4 Age 10) and Shanae Sigorney (Level 3 Age 11) – won 1st place overall in their categories which made them Cambridgeshire County Champion, a fantastic achievement.

In the Team event where scores from four gymnasts at each level from the club are added together to make a team total, the Level 7, Level 6 and Level 5 teams all placed third. The Level 4 and Level 3 teams performed superbly to take first place becoming Cambridgeshire County Team Champions.

Head coach Claire Port said: “We are delighted with these results, they are some of the highest placings we have ever achieved as a club and it is definitely testament to the hard work of our gymnasts and coaches who put a lot of hours in per week to practice skills and learn routines.

"The gymnasts all performed beautifully, they showed amazing attitudes, real sportsmanship and the strength and resilience to recover when they made errors.

"We are excited to have twelve gymnasts heading off to Regionals to represent both the club and the County and wish them the best of luck at the event, which takes place in Ipswich on October 21/22.”
