Parson Drove to face Needham Market U23s in defining Thurlow Nunn League First Division North clash




Parson Drove face a potentially season-defining fixture this weekend, and must win to prevent themselves being cut adrift at the bottom of the table.

Arran Duke’s side go into a crunch Thurlow Nunn League First Division North encounter against Needham Market U23s this Saturday.

The young side have sat 19th and bottom of the standings for much of the campaign, but Drove now occupy that spot - and are now five points behind their opponents, albeit with four games in hand.

However, a loss at the weekend could prove catastrophic to their hopes of staying in the division.

Debenham LC also sit two points clear of Drove having played three games more.

Drove will take solace from the fact they avoided another damaging loss at the weekend after coming from two goals down to snatch a 2-2 draw against 16th-placed Haverhill Borough.

Duke’s men conceded twice in the opening period, but struck back through Dean Miller before Thomas Kendrick grabbed an 86th minute equaliser.
