Parson Drove boss Arran Duke gears up for vital February in Thurlow Nunn League First Division North
Parson Drove don’t play again until February – but will need to take advantage of some extra time on the training ground if they are to salvage their season.
Arran Duke’s side were due to face a crunch fixture against Needham Market U23s last Saturday, but the game was called off due to a frozen pitch.
That means their campaign still hangs in the balance, with picking up points the main thing for the Fenland side going into the latter stages of the season.
A packed February looks certain to hold the key to whether or not Drove can survive in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division North.
The rearranged clash against their relegation-battling foes will now take place on February 4, and will be followed up with a home game against Norwich CBS three days later.
A third game in that busy week will see Drove travel to AFC Sudbury Reserves, before Swaffham Town welcome Duke and his players the following weekend.
Swaffham Town and Whittlesey Athletic are next after that, with the month rounding off with a trip to fourth-placed Downham Town.
The going isn’t getting any easier for the bottom-placed side. With just three wins all season, Duke will need his new signings to gel quickly if they are to start racking up some precious points.
