Three Counties and March get together for Easter run

Three Counties Running Club teamed up with March AC for a virtual Easter 5k run.

As social runners can now run in groups of six (2m distance apart), it was lovely for both clubs to get out and run in small groups, helping give each other support and encouragement.

The virtual Easter 5k was to be completed any time between Good Friday to Easter Sunday and fancy dress was encouraged.

March AC were great sports, with 23 members taking part and some getting dressed up in some fantastic outfits.

March AC participants were Nina, Dawn, Fay, Sue, Harry Jnr, James Arran, James Moon, Jo, Mark, Jon, Katie Long, Aisleen, Daniel, Pat, Dean, Serge, Tina, Niall, Kanina and Michelle, with bike support from Andy Wool and Harry. Maura did a fab job as tea maker.

TCRC members Claire Louise Apted and Rod Sinnott took part in the Run Everyone challenge in March.

This challenge was a virtual running and/or walking event for Tom’s Trust which supports children with brain tumours.

Both Claire and Rod work for Kier Eastern, which, as a company, entered 17 people and raised well over £2,000.

The duo covered over 730km, with Rod 400km (249 miles) and Claire 332.7 km (207 miles).

Alice Ingman took part in the Virtual Runners Easter 15km run. Alice had to cover the distance on Easter Sunday and had fantastic support with Tony Lamb also running and Sarah Lamb as bike support. Alice did a fantastic job and finished her run in a great time of 1:29:08.
