Perry starts world quest in first round best of 19 frames at 7pm against fellow Englishman David Gilbert




The match is due to continue on Tuesday morning, April 23 at 2.30pm.

If Perry gets through, then on Friday at 2.30pm he'll meet defending champion Mark Williams.

Chatteris potter Joe Perry tonight (Easter Monday) begins his Betfred World Snooker Championship campaign after successfully coming through the three qualifiers.

Perry starts another world title quest at the renowned Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, venue in the first round (best of 19 frames) at 7pm against fellow Englishman David Gilbert.

The match is due to continue on Tuesday morning, April 23 at 2.30pm.

Williams beat Martin Gould 10-7 to become the first player to reach the second round at the Crucible.

The tournament continues until May 6.
