March Athletic Club members line up for Boston, Manchester and London marathons




March Athletic Club's Andy Cole, Tricia Cole and Mike Boxall travelled to Boston, USA, earlier this week for Monday's 129th Boston Marathon.

The trio's epic journey began almost two years ago, training to achieve the qualification times to gain entry.

All three ran superbly with great discipline over the challenging route.

The day was made extra special as Andy Cole and Boxall ran the entire supporter-lined route together to claim course PBs.

Tricia earned her last Star in the World Marathon Majors series to become a coveted "Six-Star Finisher", having previously completed Tokyo, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York Marathons.

Times: Andy Cole 3:23:44, Mike Boxall 3:23:44, Tricia Cole 4:25:52.

In the UK, March AC had runners taking on the Manchester and London Marathons.

Steve Beasley led the way for the club in Manchester, achieving a Sub three-hour finish(2:55:26).

Kanina O'Neil was the leading lady for the club as she smashed her PB with a time of 3:06:11.

Elsewhere, in London, new club member Simon Mead had an amazing debut, finishing the race 2:47:11.

Toni Alcaraz was the first lady in the event for March in 3:23:37 with Tony Brown joining her with a Sub four-hour finish(3:43:29).

Hugh Harris had a strong run, finishing in four hours and 17 minutes (4:17:55), followed by Oliver Goodwin, who earned the club place for the event, in 4:53:00.

Closer to home, March AC runners' were competing in the Northstowe Half Marathon.

Fiona Graham backed up her strong performance in the Paris Marathon this month with another fantastic run as she completed the race in 1:55:09.

Steve Ryan ran well to achieve a time of 2:00:06, while Nigel Syrett earned a time of 2:10:33.
