Wisbech performances are a sell-out as youngsters steal the show
Performers of all ages wowed audiences at The Secret Garden when they put on a special production.
Nine Lines Theatre Company took to the stage at the Wisbech venue to perform in sold out shows.
Director Michele Larkin was incredibly proud of the performers, who ranged from five year olds right up to 17 year olds, when they stole the show with Matilda the Musical Jr.
She said: “We sold the last two shows out so it seemed as though word got around.
“It was quite a big challenge for them and I’m very proud of all of them.”
There were around 15 performers who were under 10 years old who all began rehearsing in January.
Michele said: “They all really loved it and they’re sad its over.
“I even had one parent ask me if we could do it all again!
“I think it’s good for them to do something without adults because they gain the experience with adults and professionals in the Christmas production.”
“We give them a really broad spectrum of experience.”
The youngsters now have plenty of work to do, including exams and preparing for their end of year show in June.
Michele added: “Now, it’s back into class. We have exams, the end of year show and then in July they will be making their own films.
“They have plenty to do!”
