Trains to and from Lynn have returned to normal this morning after passengers were hit by long delays on the line yesterday.

Great Northern, the main operator of services between West Norfolk, Cambridge and London, say a good service is running on the route today.

However, some services are still running up to 25 minutes late because of damage to overhead power lines between Ely and Lynn, which caused even longer delays and some cancellations yesterday.

Services were seriously disrupted between Ely and Lynn for much of yesterday afternoon and evening because of damage to overhead power lines.

At its height, all lines in the area were blocked by the damage.

There is also continuing disruption on the line from Peterborough to London with one service cancelled and several more running late.
