Between them, they managed to remove all of the graffiti, bringing it back to its glory.

Alderman Richard Young (1809-1871) was a British merchant, shipowner and Liberal politician from Tydd St Mary, who served as a magistrate, MP, Mayor and Wisbech town councillor.
