Customers are enjoying browsing around a new book store which has opened in Wisbech.

The Works took over a unit in the Horsefair Shopping Centre on Friday.

The Wisbech branch is among 60 new shops the chain plans to open this year.

Manager Sam Yates said: “The new Works team is really looking forward to welcoming shoppers.

“I’m very happy and proud to be the manager of this fantastic new store.”

Shopping centre manager Kevin Smith has welcomed the new addition.

He said: “I think this is a fantastic store for the Wisbech town centre.

“The wide range of stock is very impressive, they’ve got something for everyone! I wish Sam and her team all the very best!”

The shopping centre will be running a host of Easter celebrations on Wednesday, March 30.

Stalls, face painting, balloon modelling along with fairground rides will be among the attractions which take place from 10am to 2pm.

Spider Mountain will keep the children entertained, along with Uncle Mick’s Magical Punch and Judy show.

A decorated hard-boiled egg competition will be held and there will be an Easter Egg hunt.

A charity car boot sale will be held on the top floor of the centre’s car park on Easter Monday.

Pitches cost £5 or £10 and will be donated to SERV.
