Youngsters from Long Sutton and Lutton enjoy Tri-Golf

After two years out of action because of the Covid pandemic, Agilitas Sports’ School Games has returned.

The latest event organised as part of the London 2012 Olympics legacy was Tri-Golf. Schools came together to play the entry game, which uses oversized putters and pitching wedges.

Teams from Years 3 and 4 at Long Sutton and Lutton St Nicholas primary schools joined others from the Holbeach area at the town’s University Academy. Long Sutton took the top place.

Organiser Rupert Gibson was delighted by the participation and the standard of coaching and said: “The pupils received super coaching from sports students. They scored points for each putting/pitching station plus points for their sportsmanship, honesty, teamwork and passion.

“The children had a fantastic time and their golf was impressive.”
