Wimblington Slimming World members raise £1,800 for Cancer Research in memory of company founder Margaret Miles-Bramwell
A Slimming World group has raised funds for a cancer charity following the loss of its founder.
The Wimblington members got to work selling bags of the clothes that they had outgrown, collecting more than 60 in total, equating to £1,800 for Cancer Research UK.
It comes after the company’s founder, Margaret Miles-Bramwell, died from the disease back in February.
Dawn said her slimmers have “no intention” of gaining their weight back because they have learned how to optimise food and keep their weight off.
At the event, Alan found a golden bag, meaning he will go into a company prize draw for a VIP shopping experience, £500 in shopping vouchers and an overnight stay in a luxury hotel.
Those wanting to join the club can visit Wimblington Parish Hall on Mondays at either 9.30am or 11am.
