Walsoken road closure announced as part of £26k resurfacing works
A village road will be shut to traffic while improvement works take place later this month.
Work is due to start on Friday, June 20, to surface dress a section of the B198 Lynn Road, in Walsoken
To allow the work to be carried out safely and swiftly, it will be closed to through traffic on two dates. However, access to properties will be permitted throughout.
The weather-dependent work will be carried out within the following times:
• Friday, June 20 (lining/road stud replacement) - evening/overnight works 7pm to 5am
• Saturday, June 21 (lining/road stud replacement) - evening/overnight works 7pm to 5am
A fully signed diversion route will be in operation for the duration of the works.
The work is expected to cost approximately £26,000 and will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s infrastructure department and its contractors Tarmac and Keir Highway Services.
