Concern raised by resident at Whittlesey council meeting over ‘valuable data’ lost from air quality monitor

A town council member has raised concerns over a monitor that has lost “valuable data” on air quality.

During Thursday evening’s Whittlesey Town Council meeting, a member of the public voiced their concern over the issue.

Resident Linda Day has called on the council to take action over the air quality monitor on Hallcroft Road.

She said it was taken offline on November 20 last year, and as of June 17, this year, it is still not sending data, meaning seven months of “valuable data” have been lost.

Linda asked the council if they would be taking action, as “we are already into summer, when the dust is typically worse”.
