Queuing for burger treat as McDonald's re-opens in Wisbech
They're loving it in Wisbech this morning - burger fans were queuing ready for the reopening of the town's McDonald's.
Nearly 20 cars joined the drivethru queue with their occupants keen to get their hands on the fast food chain's favourite meals.
Among the first in line was Jake Basham who said he was pleased the take-away in Cromwell Road was back up and running.
He said: "It makes you appreciate things you don't have in life," as he picked up his burger meal.
Staff were wearing facemasks and gloves as they dished out the Happy Meals and more to the delighted customers, who had waited patiently in line for up to half and hour.
To make things safer the queue was formed around the adjacent Belgrave Business Park car park, rather than on the main road.
Elsewhere across the country some places saw queues of up to two hours as the shutters were lifted on hundreds of McDonald's drivethrus nationwide with a spending limit of £25.
