New menswear shop opens in Wisbech
Dedicated followers of fashion will be able to pick up the latest styles from a new menswear shop which has been opened by the Mayor of Wisbech.
Andy and Penny Nicolaou set up Fens Menswear in Chapel Road during October and have been pleased with the response from customers to its stylish ranges.
The couple, who also own a car sales firm, have been looking for a fresh challenge since moving to the area three years ago.
The shop, which stocks labels such as Tokyo Laundry and Santa Monica, has been running since October 3.
Town mayor David Hodgson was invited to cut the ribbon during the official opening on October 30.
Mr Nicolaou, who lives in Elm, said: “We have had a good response from people who have been in.
“They like the idea of the shop where they can afford to buy things.
“Our prices range from £15 to £50.
“I am aiming at the smart casual market for men to wear when they go out at night.
“We also do ties and cuff links, along with shoes.”
Mr Nicolaou is no stranger to this market after making shoes for the Clarke’s brand with his father along with working in women’s fashion.
The ambitious family have high hopes for the shop’s future.
He said: “This shop is something we have wanted to do and we are hoping to expand into ladies wear and create a sister company.”
