New mayor of Wisbech Sidney Imafidon is ‘excited’ to unite community groups

The newly appointed mayor of Wisbech is “excited” for the upcoming year.

The town’s annual mayor making ceremony took place on Friday, where Sidney Imafidon was elected.

Sidney, or known to many as Sid, has said he is “excited” for the forthcoming year where he hopes to unite community groups to benefit Wisbech.

Janet Tanfield will be taking on the role as deputy mayor for Wisbech.

During the ceremony, former mayor Peter Human gave a short speech about his past year where he attended more than 250 events.
