Man dies after medical emergency at Tesco Extra on Cromwell Road in Wisbech

A man died after a medical emergency in a town supermarket on Thursday evening.

Emergency services were called just before 5.45pm yesterday to an incident at Tesco Extra on Cromwell Road in Wisbech.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We sent community first responders, an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officer vehicle to the scene.

“Sadly, an adult man was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Witnesses reported that the incident took place inside the supermarket, with police officers also in attendance.
