Man charged with murder over disappearance of Christchurch woman Julie Buckley

A man has been charged with murder in connection with the disappearance of a woman in a Fenland village.

Karl Hutchings, 47, of The Hill, Christchurch, was charged this evening and is due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.

Detectives announced on Friday they were treating the disappearance of 54-year-old Julie Buckley as murder.

Julie, from Christchurch, near March, has not been seen since late January.

Police say they have always aimed to find her alive, but evidence suggests she has come to serious harm.

Detectives have appealed for information about her whereabouts and would like to hear from anyone who has seen her in recent weeks.
