Joe will finally lose his 'wild beared' in a bid to raise funds for Meadowgate Academy, Wisbech




A Wisbech man will finally brave the shave this weekend after spending the last year growing a 'wild beard' ready to raise funds for Meadowgate Academy.
Joe, who also let his hair grow, will be having his beard and ponytail cut at Banks Barbershop this Saturday afternoon (December 1).

He has been raising money for the school as a thank you to the support and work they do for his niece and other children who attend Meadowgate.
Joe said: "I'm in awe of the work Meadowgate do for my niece and all the other children that attend their school, so I decided last November that I would grow a wild beard (no trims) and a pony for approximately a year with the hopes of doing a sponsored cut throat razor shave and head shave and Saturday is the day.
For those wanting to donate their is a collecting tin at the barbers on Old Market Place
