Honours for Chatteris Poppy Appeal volunteers
The Chatteris branch of the Royal British Legion made its annual Poppy Appeal presentations, where 14 individuals and one group received awards for their continued volunteering.
The awards were hosted by outgoing organiser Lynda Behagg at the Cross Keys Hotel and presented by president Leon Jones.
Lynda was also presented with a bouquet for her hard work for more than 20 years, although she will still be active in supporting new organiser Caroline Hopper.
Awards:
Five years: Bob Beer, Karen Clarke, Ann Clarke, Pete Gowler, Susan Newton, Pam Robert, Tony Wright; 10 years: Jean Bishop, Brian Hemment, Jenny Mandley; 15 years: Chatteris Detachment Army Cadets, Ian Salter; 25 years: Penny Bale, Keith O'Hara; 30 years: Freda Aspinall.
Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal Cambridgeshire community fundraiser Lucy Acred said: "Our volunteers are the heart of the Poppy Appeal. Thank you so much for all of the help and support to the Armed Forces community and the dedication and loyalty to the Poppy Appeal."

There are always a variety of two-hour time slots that require filling, so they can easily fit around school runs, work or any other commitments.
