Harry Potter and Star Wars actor Warwick Davis thanks Twitter followers after stolen caravan appears to be spotted
Peterborough-based film and TV star Warwick Davis has thanked his Twitter followers for trying to help him find his stolen caravan.
The Harry Potter and Star Wars actor, who lives in a village just outside Peterborough, tweeted to his 528,000 followers yesterday (Friday, October 9) that his locked caravan had been taken in Cambridgeshire on the previous evening.
However, it appears that the caravan is still missing despite the best efforts of Twitter to help Mr Davis out.
One tweeter called Lisa Wiles told the actor: ‘We saw your caravan heading west on Yaxley Main Street last night, 9.45pm, towed by dark pick up truck, driving too fast!’
But unfortunately the caravan appeared to have swiftly moved on, with Lisa adding: ‘Sorry @WarwickADavis, it was still trailing its wheel lock, sparks flowing! Heading towards Farcet, must have gone up Windsor rd/Mere View’.
Mr Davis tweeted: ‘Re my stolen caravan: Did anyone else from Yaxley see anything last night? Anyone own a security camera on Main St?’
And he followed this up by telling his followers: ‘Dear Twitter Friends... Thanks for all your amazing support and help today re. my stolen caravan... you are all wonderful people! x’.
