Friday Bridge Post Office re-opens after building work

Friday Bridge Post Office re-opened on Friday (March 18) after being temporarily closed for a month for building work at the branch.

Experienced Postmaster, San Santhirakumaran, took on the branch in September 2020, making it his third Post Office in the area.

After taking on the store San decided to undertake a big project to rebuild the Post Office and shop in Well End, to give it a more modern look, and make it more customer friendly.

The Post Office and shop are now open. However, finishing work is being done on the retail side to complete the major project.

Matt Hatfull, Post Office network provision lead, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work, but safety of our customers is of paramount, making it necessary the temporary closure necessary, but now the new-look shop is already looking great.”
