Man taken to hospital following crash on Sixteen Foot Bank
A crash between a car and a lorry on the Sixteen Foot Bank near Christchurch has resulted in one man being hospitalised.
The incident which happened at around 12.10pm saw the road closed between the B1099 Upwell Road and Croft Road, Upwell and police, fire and ambulance crewsall in attendance.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire police said: "We were called at 12.10pm today with reports of a serious collision involving a car and a lorry on Sixteen Foot Bank in Christchurch.
"A man has been taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious injuries."
And a Cambridgeshrie Fire Service spokesperson added cres used specialist cutting equipment to release the male casualty to who leased a male casualty who was left in the care of ambulance crews.
The road remains closed at this time.
