Fenland family killed in crash all died of multiple injuries




A family of three died of multiple injuries following a crash on the A47 last month, an inquest opening has heard.

Paul James Carter, 41, his wife Lisa Jayne Carter, 49, and her daughter Jade Channelle Mace, 25, died after a collision at the A47 Constitution Hill in North Runcton - about a quarter of a mile from the Hardwick Roundabout - on January 15.

The hearing, which was opened by Norfolk Coroner's Court on Monday (30), heard all three lived at Albert Avenue in Gedney.

Proceedings were adjourned, with an official start date yet to be determined. A review is set to take place on July 17 when either a date for a full inquest will be fixed or, if necessary, another review date set.

Paul Carter, a builder, died due to multiple injuries sustained in the collision.

The same causes were responsible for Lisa Carter, a hairdresser, and Jade Mace, a youth offending officer, losing their lives.

Aurelijus Cielevicius, of John Street in King's Lynn, has already appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court after being charged with three counts of death by dangerous driving in relation to the incident.

Cielevicius was remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Crown Court on February 14.
