ELECTION 2025: Your new Fenland county councillors




Residents voted for their new Cambridge County Councillors yesterday, and we are updating the results as they come in.

Reporters Alice Hobbs and Molly Nicholas will be adding who has topped each ward throughout the day, so keep checking back here to find out who has been elected for each of the eight Fenland wards.

Across the county, there are 61 seats up for grabs in 59 divisions.

There have been 76,445 eligible votes in this election, with a voter turnout of 30.28% for the county council and 30.08% for the mayoral.

This is an increase compared to 2021, which saw 29.95% for the county council and 29.69% for the mayoral.

Listed below are the candidates and winners:

Chatteris:

• Winner - Daniel Divine (Reform UK)

• Nominees - Jay Eames (Labour and Co-operative Party), Anne Hay (Conservative), Emma Pollard (Green Party) and Janet Elizabeth Porter (Liberal Democrats).

• Voter turnout - 27.73%

March North and Waldersey:

• Winner – Stefan Fisher and Colin Galbraith (Reform UK)

• Nominees - Steve Count (Conservative), Stephen Robert Court (Liberal Democrats), Diane Priscilla Cutler (Liberal Democrats), Martin Edmund Craik Field (Labour), Stefan Christopher Fisher (Reform UK), Colin Hugh Galbraith (Reform UK), Elizabeth Alice May (Green Party), Hannah Louise Orbell (Labour), Dal Roy (Independent) Elisabeth Sennitt Clough (Conservative) and Simon Wilkes (Green Party).

• Voter turnout - 29.17%

March South and Rural:

• Winner - Christopher Mark Thornhill (Reform UK)

• Nominees - Peter Damian Bimson (Labour), Gary Christy (Conservative), Andrew William Nicholas Crawford (Green Party) and Christopher Philip Ross (Liberal Democrats)

• Voter turnout - 31.95%

Roman Bank and Peckover:

• Winner - Andy Osborn (Reform)

• Nominees - Amanda Jane Hirson (Labour), Simon King (Conservative), Lucy Ann Mance (Green Party) and Jack Wheelan (Liberal Democrats).

• Voter turnout - 34.14%

Whittlesey North:

• Winner - Chris Boden (Conservative)

• Nominees - Clare Delderfield (Liberal Democrats), Angela Howe (Labour), John Male (Green Party) and Kevin Ian Michael Marston (Reform UK).

• Voter turnout - 30.84%

Whitlesey South:

• Winner - Michael Fisher (Reform UK)

• Nominees - Katharine Mary Bultitude (Labour), Liliya Aleksandrova Masharova (Green Party), Hay Nawaz (Conservative), Stephen Anthony Newton (Liberal Democrat) and Barry Norman Wainwright (Independent).

• Voter turnout 34.62%

Wisbech East:

• Winner - Samantha Hoy (Conservative)

• Nominees - Nick Brooks (Reform UK), Toby Robert Ensch (Green Party), Joshua Matthew Lee (Liberal Democrats) and Ucuncu Didem (Labour).

• Voter turnout - 28.38%

Wisbech West:

• Winner - Steve Tierney (Conservative)

• Nominees - George Patrick Broughton (Labour), Bob Ensch (Green Party), George Arthur Harwin (Reform UK) and Chang Liu (Liberal Democrats).

• Voter turnout - 25%

Fenland’s results for the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority Mayoral election have also come in.

Ryan Coogan (Reform UK) took the spot with 9,246 votes.

Other candidates included:

• Paul Bristow (Conservative) - 8,302 votes

• Lorna Helen Dupre (Liberal Democrats) - 2,050

• Bob Ensch (Green Party) - 1,063

• Anna Smith (Labour and Co-operative Party) - 2,176
