Walpole St Andrew celebrates Easter with decorated church and egg hunt

Children and village residents fully embraced Easter festivities with an array of activities.

A fourth annual Easter egg hunt took place among the grounds of Walpole St Andrew Church, where children from the Anthony Curton Primary School drew and decorated paper eggs, which were hung in the building.

The eggs were judged by Elaine Broden and Gill Keen, and pupils from each of the seven classes received a first, second or third rosette.

The hunt was to discover letter clues hidden around the churchyard and the Swingfield.

When all the letters were rearranged, they spelt "Easter Wishes and Bunny Kisses". Everyone who completed the competition received an egg.

This will hopefully be the last event in the village church without a floor, as it is due to be replaced next month.
