Wisbech shopping centre's Easter event was a huge success
Families were delighted by Easter themed fun in Wisbech.
Last week, there was so much to enjoy at Horsefair Shopping Centre where a host of activities were on offer.
Manager Kevin Smith said the first Easter fun day since 2019 was a huge success.
He said: “It was long overdue and it was such a lovely day!
“We were so lucky with the weather and everyone came out and supported us.”
A whopping 340 children got involved in an Easter egg hunt, each winning a prize, while there were 80 entries to the hand painted eggs competition.
The event was completely free for youngsters to enjoy.
Kevin said: “That’s the most children we’ve ever had join in with the Easter egg hunt.
“The local community support us so well – they are so supportive of everything.
“It’s great for people to have been able to come into town and see what we’ve got in the centre.
“A particular highlight for me was Uncle Mick’s Magical Punch and Judy Show. It was lovely to hear children screaming with laughter.”
There was also a fairground ride and a bouldering wall, plus a variety of other stalls and attractions to enjoy on the day.
Kevin added: “I am so, so pleased with how it went and it was so nice to see people smiling again in the town centre.”
