Derelict Sutton Bridge hotel sells at auction for more than £180K

A firewrecked village hotel was sold to the highest bidder in an exciting auction.

The Bridge Hotel in Sutton Bridge had become an eyesore in recent years with fire chiefs warning it could be destroyed if arson attacks continued but it has now sold for £181,000 through the online sale.

Sold via AuctionHouse East Anglia, the site had been put on the market with a guide of between £80,000 to £100,000.

There were several interested parties with nearly 20 people registered to bid in Wednesday's auction.
