Commendation for Wisbech police officer

A police officer has been commended for the help given to an elderly couple.

PC Jon Nixon was presented with the District Commissioners’s Commendation by Wisbech Mayor Michael Hill at a town council meeting on Monday. Insp Alan Boughen outlined to councillors the support given by PC Nixon to the couple. He said: “This is probably unusual recognition of some good work you find in the police service. “We would like to honour Jon’s work and contribution by the presentation of this District Commissioner’s Commendation.” Our picture above shows Monday’s presentation.
