Long Sutton father creates free website for People Against Parental Alienation (PAPA) in campaign for equal parenting rights following a relationship split

A father who is campaigning for equal parenting rights after a relationship break down has set up a free website offering support and advice to parents.

Simon Cobb from Long Sutton set up PAPA - People Against Parental Alienation - before the Covid-19 pandemic to spread awareness for those in a similar situation to him.

After splitting up with his partner, he started the not for profit organisation in 2016 in order to be able to have 50/50 parenting rights for his son Arlo to fight the assumption that the mother gains full custody automatically.

Mr Cobb said: “I have launched the PAPA website which has a free to use support community forum as well as useful articles and upcoming family court resources which are all free.

“I am also working on mental health resources and I look to expand PAPA and double my efforts so that I can raise more awareness and help more people who are in need.”

Mr Cobb has bought a second larger van promoting PAPA and has also built up a following to spread awareness and reach parents in need who require support the idea being to get the message of both his campaign and the resources that are available to parents who are facing a fight to see their children.

Simon’ had to fight to have equal access after he and his partner split and his campaign is to combat parent alienation.

He said: “I have gained thousands more followers and members as PAPA continues to grow and it is now the largest parental alienation support organisation in the world in terms of members and followers.

“My mission is still to make all resources completely free and accessible to everyone in the local community and beyond.

“I believe every child has a right to a loving relationship with either parent and so it’s my goal to make that as easy as possible for every parent and child.

“I’m doing this by providing support and information as well as raising awareness.”
