Family-run butcher shop set open on March High Street tomorrow morning

A family-run butcher shop is set to open on a Fenland high street tomorrow (Saturday) morning with the promise of fresh, affordable, and locally produced meat.

Smith’s Butchers, run by Jack Smith, will open its doors at 73 High Street, March, at 8.30am.

Posting to the shop’s Facebook page Jack and his partner, Nina, said they are looking forward to welcoming customers.

The sign for the shop went up this afternoon ready for the grand opening.

Jack said: “ We highly appreciate the support we have had so far, please continue to support us.

“We’re cash only for the time being, please bear with us.”
He also warned customers that the shop is smaller than others but added: “We are still just as good.”

The shop will be open until 6pm and will then be open again on Sunday from 10am to 3pm.
