Wisbech artist produces postcards collection of work
Local artist David P Housden, who has been painting Wisbech and the Fens for more than forty years, has now published a set of 32 collectable postcards of his work.
He recently added 12 more cards, including three versions of 'Before The Flood (Wisbech 1978)' and one titled 'Steve At Work In The Pottery (Queen's Girls School garden)', to complete the set.
Last year, David's distinctive work went on exhibition locally for the first time in four decades and his cards are now available in the shop at Wisbech and Fenland Museum which opens 10am – 4pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
There is no charge to visit the shop where you can also buy fossils, books from local authors, local history books, stained glass from local artist Paul McGregor and the popular 'Wisbech Inns, Taverns and Beer-Houses' and 'Images of Wisbech' series of books by Andy Ketley.
David's card collection features varied subject matter including 'Where Citroens Go To Die', 'The Big Butterfly Watch' and 'The Abandoned Farm'.
