Armed police attend Long Sutton as arrests are made




Armed police attended an incident in Long Sutton today (Monday) which saw a man arrested on suspicion of assault and false imprisonment.

Lincolnshire Police has confirmed that the operation was carried out in the Spring Gardens area and that a 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and false imprisonment of his partner.

Two women were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

A spokesperson said: "We have carried out an operation in the Spring Gardens area of Long Sutton with the support of specialist armed response officers. We would like to thank local residents for their patience while we brought this matter to a safe conclusion."

The spokesperson confirmed that the man is now in custody and is expected to be dealt with later on this afternoon (Monday).
