Appeal launched by Wisbech-based cat rescue to help little Dobby the Sphinx kitten thrive

A cat lover has issued an urgent plea for donations to help a rescue kitten get the medical care he needs.

Lindsay Kierman, from Wisbech, who runs a self-funded cat rescue is hoping others will fall in love with Dobby the Sphinx kitten who was the lone survivor of his litter.

Dobby was rescued four months ago by Lindsay and her team and he was extremely poorly and very emaciated – all his siblings had died.

Since then, Lindsay who has been running her cat rescue for the past 15 years, has ensured Dobby has had the veterinary attention he needs and has been nursing him.

Now, Dobby needs some very expensive x-rays and possibly and MRI scan to determine how best to treat him going forward.

As a result, Lindsay has launched a GoFundme page to raise the necessary £3,000 to pay for Dobby’s healthcare needs.

Speaking on her behalf Asa Bennett said: “Of course after looking after him and nursing him all this time, we have fallen very much in love with him. And we are desperate to do all we can we can, to get him back to full health.

“If you feel you could donate just a small donation towards his ongoing treatment. It would be so, very appreciated. We do have another 24 rescues in our care, so as you can imagine, it’s an expensive business.
